Meet The Chef:

Kyle puts his 20 years of experience in the food and beverage and hospitality industries to good use as the Executive Chef/Owner of Maya’s Cantina and Grill. Kyle graduated with a B.S. degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, SC. He started his career with a focus on Four Star and Four Diamond properties and resorts. Kyle continued that focus to Jackson Hole, WY where he assisted in the transition of the Rusty Parrot Lodge and Spa and The Wild Sage restaurant which earned the prestigious Four Diamond rating. In his tenure at The Rusty Parrot, Kyle assisted in the success and accolades of Travel and Leisure Magazines #1 Hotel in North America and #7 in the World, multiple mentions on Conde Nast’s Gold List, Nominated for James Beard “Best Chefs under 30” and was featured on The Food Network. Kyle moved to Denver to broaden his career in 2005 and assisted in the transition and redesign of The Pinery Country Club and then went to work with Sage Hospitality growing his career in Hospitality Management.

About the Walkers:

Kyle and Megan have lived in Evergreen for 7 years and moved here to start their family and give their children an awesome environment and community to surround themselves with. They have two loving daughters (Maya and Millie) that have aspirations to help in the restaurant when they grow up. Since moving here, the Walkers have increased their involvement in the community in efforts to strengthen their relations and give back whenever possible. Megan is a 2nd grade teacher at Marshdale Elementary and Kyle dedicates his down time to volunteer with Evergreen Fire and Rescue.

Together, the Walkers are pleased to offer Evergreen another hot spot and watering hole to enjoy their favorite food, friends and beverages!
